Don't Leave Them in Darkness

Apr 11, 2019

A few weeks before Easter, ISIS, Taliban and other terrorists threatened a group of Christians in Pakistan with harm if they celebrated the Passover or Jesus’ resurrection. Aware of the very real danger, the group of believers met in secret.

Each person held an unlit candle as they quietly worshipped together in the darkness. The candles were intended to represent the light Jesus shed on their lives.

Eventually, a little girl decided to light her candle and went around the room lighting everyone else’s candle with her own.

When asked why she felt the candles needed to be lit, she replied with a beaming smile,

"Because the candles remind us that even in the darkness of the tomb, there was the hope of Jesus' promise. When Jesus makes a promise it is like a candle given to us when the lights go out. It's a promise that the lights will come back on again."

Our Christ-centered ministry partners in these dangerous regions share many similar stories of Christians suffering extreme persecution. They also assure us that there is a great demand for Bibles there.

The threat is even more real for Muslims who turn from Islam to Jesus, and having a Bible of their own to study gives them strength to stand unwavering in their new faith.

Will you help Liberty Relief International send the Light of God's Word to believers in Pakistan and other countries oppressed by darkness today?

Just 5 dollars will make one Bible available to a new believer or Christian who must worship in secret in the most persecuted nations of the world.

Your gift of 25, 50, 100 dollars or more today will make a life-changing difference to those who receive your gift of God's Word.

Jesus said, "I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness" (John 12:46).

What better way to celebrate the Resurrection this year than to share the Light of the World with the world?

You can help us meet our goal this month to send 2500 Bibles to believers living under extreme persecution - where coming to faith in Jesus can be a death sentence, or worse.

As you make plans to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord with your family and friends, please help send the light of His Word as a gift to new believers suffering persecution by making your tax-deductible gift now.

Thank you, in advance, for being a lifeline of compassion and provision to those in need.

God bless you,

Mat Staver
President

P.S. With just a couple of weeks left before Easter, we still have a long way to go to meet our goal to send 2500 Bibles to persecuted believers in the Middle East. Please send your gift today. Thank you!
