Christians: Leave or Be Killed in Three Days

Jun 12, 2019

Our partners in Africa have asked for URGENT PRAYER for Christians in Niger whose lives are being threatened by the Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram. Please read, PRAY, and share this information as soon as possible... —Mat

Christians in Niger, specifically in the Diffa region of the West African country, are terrified. The Islamic terrorist group, Boko Haram, kidnapped a Christian woman from that region on June 7. She was released on June 10 with a letter to all Christians in the area warning them to...

"Leave the town within three days or be killed."

Please join me and the Liberty Relief International staff in praying for these Christians who are facing such intense persecution for their faith. We will keep you updated as we receive more information from our partners in the field.

Violence against Christians from the Islamic terrorist group, Boko Haram, has escalated drastically over the past year. Since President Muhammad Buhari declared Boko Haram defeated in 2018, more than 1300 people have died at the hands of the terrorist group, whose reach goes beyond Nigerian borders.

We are told that the Christian association of Niger is urging all Christians in that area and other rural areas of Diffa to go to the capital city of Niamey. Several families have already left.

As you know, Liberty Relief International is dedicated to ministering to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our brothers and sisters suffering persecution of this nature.

  • We need to pray for protection for these families.
  • We need to pray for those families who have fled to find safety.
  • And we need to pray for the churches and our partners in the area to be able to meet the need as they minister on the front lines to so many displaced families in Niamey.

If you can today, please take one more step and send a gift to help care for these fellow believers and others who are being targeted for their faith.

Your tax-deductible gift of 50, 100, 500 dollars or more will enable us to send urgently needed aid to our partners in the field who are working with families fleeing the threat in Niger, and others whose faith puts them at constant risk from violence, torture, false imprisonment, kidnapping, rape or even death.

You can help provide for their immediate humanitarian needs as well as emergency food and water, safe houses, trauma counseling, literacy training and job training; restoration assistance to rebuild churches and homes; Bibles, Bible study materials, and discipleship training for new believers.

That's right—even in the midst of such harsh persecution—people are coming to faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and they need Bibles and discipleship.

Please let me hear from you today. Our prayers and our practical help are a lifeline for our persecuted family facing horrible threats like this. Thank you in advance for standing with LRI to pray for and care for our hurting family all over the world.

God bless you,

P.S. You can help LRI minister to the urgent needs of persecuted Christians and others in unbelievably desperate situations with your generous gift today.
