Iranian Christian Vanishes

Feb 11, 2020

"Mary," an Iranian sister in Christ, has recently been arrested and taken to an unknown location, according to Open Doors UK.

After becoming a Christian as a teenager, Mary has suffered plenty of persecution firsthand. She...

  1. Was expelled by her university when she was a student — and was given no explanation.
  2. Served a six-month sentence in prison in 2018 for "Christian activity" and being part of an underground church.
  3. Was arrested last year when she filed a complaint with the police after being assaulted on a bus (the assailant was not punished).

We don't know where Mary is right now ... but the Lord does. Please join me in praying for her safe return.

At the same time, I encourage you:

Continue advocating for persecuted brothers and sisters like Mary by giving a generous gift to Liberty Relief International today.

True religious freedom, as you know, is not the norm in many countries around the globe.

While several nations recently joined the United States to establish the International Religious Freedom Alliance — solidifying a collective commitment to object and oppose, publicly and privately, all abuses or violations of religious freedom ...

There are far too many countries that still target, pressure, arrest, kidnap, imprison and kill men, women and children for their Christian faith. Iran is one of them — it’s #9 on the World Watch List.

And until the harassment, violence and intimidation end, LRI will keep speaking up for and helping the persecuted Church anywhere and everywhere we can.

Your generous gift of compassion right now will help our Christ-centered partners on the ground supply emergency aid, trauma counseling, literacy and job training, physical and spiritual support and more to people just like Mary.

So please reach out to persecuted brothers and sisters today.

Please don't let them go unnoticed. See them through Jesus' eyes — and with His heart.

Thank you in advance for your generosity!

God bless you,
