These Sad Headlines Barely Scratch The Surface

Bear One Another's Burdens

A few of the recent headlines from Open Doors caught my attention, and gripped my heart, this week ...

  • “Attack on Sunday service in Burkina Faso kills at least 15 believers.”

  • “Iranian convert who ‘did not lose hope even during all those years in prison’ dies.”

  • “Pastor kidnapped and his children killed in DRC as attacks increase.”

The needs are many — these three barely scratch the surface of what is going on in places around the world that are dangerous for Christians.

Will you pray for the victims, the survivors, the family members, and neighbors impacted by these tragic events?

And then, will you please take one more faith step forward?

Give compassionately to LRI to help bear our persecuted brothers and sisters’ burdens.

Your generous gift today will provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to men, women, and children worldwide who face matters of life and death for their faith in Jesus.

Our Christ-centered partners on the ground do whatever they can to be the hands and feet of Jesus — to give hope and help wherever they are needed.

Please don’t hesitate. Let these persecuted believers know they’re not alone. Remind them that caring friends, in a country far away, share their pain. Because:

“If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it. … All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it” (1 Corinthians 12:26-27).

Thank you for your prayers … and for responding as generously as God leads you today.
