The attack on the Central African community came out of nowhere, leaving only sorrow in its wake.
“Members of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) carried out a brutal attack ... in the Democratic Republic of Congo [Monday],” reports International Christian Concern (ICC). “The Islamic extremist group killed 11 Christians, kidnapped several others, and set houses on fire."
One person who got out alive told ICC that the ADF rebels left many people homeless while other innocent civilians burned to ash. ...
“The ruthless and barbaric actions of the ADF rebels have plunged our once peaceful village into a state of fear, leaving us traumatized and vulnerable. The scale of the atrocities committed by the ADF rebels in Ndimo is beyond comprehension, as more than five families mourn their loved ones and struggle to come to terms with the senseless violence that has shattered our community.”
I look forward to the day when “‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain” (Rev. 21:4).
Ruthless killing — like this most recent attack — has been going on for decades in the DR Congo ...
But it spurs me on to provide help and hope to the vulnerable.
I boldly urge you today: Please don’t turn a blind eye to the suffering of our persecuted family. Whether they live in the DRC, in other parts of Africa, in Asia, or elsewhere, they need your compassionate support immediately.
Take a stand with Liberty Relief International today for Christians and others living daily under a terrible threat of violence, torture, kidnapping, rape, or death … simply because of their faith.
Your partnership helps provide for immediate humanitarian needs like emergency food, water, shelter and safety for believers who are forced to flee the deadly violence … as well as trauma counseling, emotional and spiritual support, Bibles, gospel-centered materials, discipleship training, and more.
Please follow your gift with prayer for the families mourning lost loved ones. Violence in many regions of Africa is taking a heavy toll on many.
Thank you.
In His Service,
Mat Staver
