"The Exhausting Cycle of Flight" in Sudan

Ease the Daily Burdens of Your

Brothers and Sisters in Christ

It’s a headline that perfectly, and tragically, sums up the refugee crisis in Sudan:

“Three years on, war-weary Sudanese remain on the move” (UN Refugee Agency).

UNHCR reports: “Since the war started in April 2023, some 14 million people have been forced to flee, with 9 million remaining displaced inside Sudan and 4.4 million across borders. For many, displacement has been a repeated and exhausting cycle of flight to relative safety, only to flee again.”

One representative from a local humanitarian organization explained:

“People continue to move from one place to another in seek of safety, in seek of security. But unfortunately, when they reach another place, the situation will be worse.”

Please give to LRI today to get emergency aid to Sudanese brothers and sisters, ease their burdens, and encourage them in the Lord. They need your compassion more than you know.

And please pray that Sudan will experience peace soon. The ongoing conflict and humanitarian disasters are a heartbreaking reminder of the suffering Christ-followers and others experience daily.

In His service,

Mat Staver
