Pastor Martyred, his Family in Mourning

Every Gift Matters

My heart is grieved after reading this news out of Myanmar from International Christian Concern:

The Burma Research Institute (BRI) has confirmed that Rev. William and another Chin Christian, Nam Ceu, were extrajudicially murdered on June 4 by the Burmese military dictatorship.

Rev. William had pastored the Chungcung Baptist Church in Chin state for more than 25 years. He was arrested with Ceu in May and had been detained by the military since then.

Another believer martyred for his faith.

Another family — his wife and five children — left without a loved one.

Whether it’s churches attacked (as Rev. William’s had been in years past) or people killed ...

The persecuted are being oppressed on every side. You and I must stand with them.

Your tax-deductible donation to Liberty Relief International today will provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to people seen as prey in the eyes of radical militants and jihadists.

LRI’s Christ-centered partners on the ground provide emergency food, water, and shelter for men, women, and children in desperate need of practical, tangible assistance.

Plus, through your generosity, our partners also offer trauma counseling, job training for displaced people and refugees starting over, help in rebuilding churches or homes that have been destroyed, Bibles and discipleship materials for new believers ... and more.

Will you answer God’s call to help the suffering today? Every minute counts. Every gift matters.

In His service,

Mat Staver
