"I Had a Hard Time Forgiving"

Send Hope to Places Where Persecution Tears Lives Apart

The ministry of Pastor Bandiba* in Burkina Faso brought many people in his community to the Lord over the course of 20 peaceful years ...

But when jihadists attacked, burned his home to the ground, and slaughtered several congregants inside his church, he was bereft.

He and his wife relocated to a nearby town, says Open Doors, and it was there that their spirits were strengthened and the compassionate support of friends like you comforted them in their grief. Bandiba and his wife began trauma counseling — exactly what they needed.

“I had a hard time forgiving,” he tells Open Doors. “If you are not healed, you cannot help anyone else. Now I am healed, and I am helping others. This training has allowed us to rebuild. We have regained a taste for life, and we help others to get back on their feet.”

This is the kind of hope your generosity to Liberty Relief International gives hurting brothers and sisters in places where persecution and violence tear lives apart.

Please stand with LRI as we enable local, Christ-centered partners overseas to minister help and healing in all forms.

Your generosity is a blessing. Your prayers are needed. Your compassion is necessary.

Thank you.

In His service,

Mat Staver
